The new Sephardic House rehabilitation center helps soldiers and residents of the north who have been injured in an accident or are suffering following an illness or medical event return to a full life as far as possible.
Rehabilitation at Sephardic House is conducted in an out-patient format, and offers a very wide range of possible therapies, based on a plan that is individually tailored for each person requiring rehabilitation. The rehabilitation center has arrangements with all health funds and the Ministry of Defense, and it is also possible to be admitted privately.

Rehabilitation for Soldiers and Residents: Support for Families as well
Family members who accompany patients on their journey of rehabilitation are a valuable resource. Those who stand by the soldier or citizen during difficult moments – parents, spouses, siblings, and others – experience quite a few difficulties themselves.
That is why the rehabilitation process at Sephardic House also includes family support, so that they can support their loved ones. One way is through a dedicated workshop that provides essential tools. Another way is to give full attention to every inquiry and request. It is also important to help families to exercise their rights with the relevant authorities, and if necessary, the rehabilitation team also assists in adapting living spaces to the new situation after the process at the center is completed.
The commitment to full support for wounded soldiers throughout their entire journey is also reflected in a dedicated program for them: group meetings that include guided imagery exercises, rehabilitative yoga, mindfulness, healing sounds, and other activities – a precise combination of beneficial content and an additional circle of support that encourages them on the way to their goals.
Continuing to Expand: Therapy Pool, Inpatient Recovery and Rehabilitation Ward
Establishment of the rehabilitation center was accelerated with the outbreak of the 7/10 war, in light of the urgent need to respond to the needs of the many wounded soldiers. Within a short time since its inception, the rehabilitation team has succeeded in bringing about very significant changes for the better in the lives of many people. In order to assist more soldiers and residents whose abilities have been impaired for whatever reason, a comprehensive expansion plan is currently being implemented.
A new building will be added to Sephardic House, and a significant portion of it will be dedicated to the rehabilitation center. A therapy pool with advanced equipment will be built on one floor, providing physical and emotional therapy for children, soldiers, adults and the elderly. Another important addition is the recovery ward, operating to the standards of a luxury hotel. The ward will allow both patients and their families to go through the process in optimal conditions.
The expansion plans also include a cardiac rehabilitation center that will begin operating soon, sexual rehabilitation that will be provided in the cardiac rehabilitation center, and two inpatient rehabilitation wards for young people and adults, both furnished with the best equipment. Overall, Sephardic House Rehabilitation Center will be able to accommodate more patients each day – and help every person in need of rehabilitation to create the best possible life situation for themselves.
